The Kelley Spur is a 1500 m high rock spur in the West Antarctic Queen Elizabeth Land . On the south side of the Dufek massif in the Pensacola Mountains, it rises 3 km east of the Spear Spur .
The United States Geological Survey mapped it on the basis of its own measurements and aerial photographs of the United States Navy from 1956 to 1966. The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names named it in 1968 after the aerial photographer Samuel Kelley, who was in the VX-6 squadron between 1964 and 1970 participated in several missions as part of Operation Deep Freeze .
