Kelly Thoma
Kelly Thoma ( Greek Κέλυ Θωμά ; * 1978 in Piraeus ) is a Greek lyre player .
Thoma studied English literature at the University of Athens and attended the Rallou Manou dance school . From 1995 she studied Greek lyre with Ross Daly . From 1998 she belonged to his ensemble Labyrinth , with whom she toured Europe, Asia, Australia and the USA. As a member of the ensemble and in workshops, she has worked with musicians such as Omer Erdogdular , Derya Türkan , Zohar Fresco , Pedram Khavar Zamini , Dhruba Ghosh , Ballake Sissoko , Erdal Erzincan , Mehmet Erenler , Yurdal Tokcan and Ustād Mohammad Rahim Khushnawaz . She also participated in other projects by Daly, including the Ross Daly Quartet and the groups Seyir , Iris and White Dragon . With Anne Hytta , Eleonore Billy and Sigrun Eng she forms the Tokso Folk String Quartet . She released four albums of her own: Anamkhara (2009), 7fish (2014), Lunar (2017) and Ama kopasoun oi kairoi (2018).
