The Kempe Glacier is a short glacier in the East Antarctic Victoria Land . In the Royal Society Range, it lies between Dismal Ridge in the north and a ridge between Mount Kempe and Mount Dromedary in the south. Fed by the firn fields on the northern slopes of Mount Kempe, it flows northeast towards the Roaring Valley .
Participants in a campaign carried out from 1960 to 1961 as part of New Zealand's Victoria University's Antarctic Expeditions named him based on the name of Mount Kempe. Its namesake is the British mathematician Alfred Kempe (1849–1922), Treasurer of the Royal Society .
