Mount Kempe is a 3005 m high mountain in East Antarctic Victoria Land . In the Royal Society Range , it looms midway between Mount Huggins and Mount Dromedary .
Participants of the Discovery Expedition (1901-1904) led by the British polar explorer Robert Falcon Scott discovered him. Scott named him after the mathematician Alfred Kempe (1849-1922), the then treasurer of the Royal Society .
