Ken Merrett
Ken Merrett (born around 1925; † September 7, 1986 in Burgess Hill ) was an English table tennis player who took part in the 1948 World Cup.
Ken Merrett is not related to the English table tennis international Bryan Merrett .
Career
Ken Merrett started playing table tennis when he was 12 years old. In 1939 he became youth champion of southern England. He made his international debut after the end of World War II in England's 10-1 victory over Ireland. In total, he brought it to four international fights, where he did not lose a single game.
In 1948 he took part in the individual competitions of the World Cup in England, but did not come close to medal ranks.
Private
Ken Merrett was married. He also had an older brother Cyril, who also made international appearances, but died in World War II.
