Ken Swenson
Ken Swenson (actually Kenneth Lloyd Swenson; born April 18, 1948 in Clay Center , Kansas ) is a former American middle -distance runner who specialized in the 800-meter distance .
In 1971 he won the Pan American Games in Cali , and in 1972 he reached the semifinals of the Olympic Games in Munich .
In 1970 he became US champion over 880 yards and NCAA champion starting at Kansas State University .
