The Kenai Lake is a 35 km long, narrow mountain lake on the Kenai Peninsula in Alaska . The S-shaped lake is in the Kenai Mountains north of Seward .
The outflow of the lake forms the Kenai River , which flows south of the village of Kenai into the Cook Inlet . The Snow River flows into the southeastern tip of the lake .
The Seward Highway and Iditarod National Historic Trail run parallel to the eastern arm of the lake . The northern tip at Cooper Landing is on the Sterling Highway .
