Kenneth Anthony (born January 8, 1951 in St. Lucia ) (according to other sources also Kenny Davis Anthony) is a politician from St. Lucia. He was Prime Minister of St. Lucia from November 30, 2011 to June 2016. He already held this office from 1997 to 2006. Anthony is a member of the St. Lucia Labor Party (SLP). He studied at the University of the West Indies at Cave Hill , Barbados and at the University of Birmingham , UK , where he received his PhD in 1988. In 1979, Anthony became an advisor to the Ministry of Education, which he headed from 1980 to 1981. This was followed by teaching activities at the law faculty of the University of the West Indies until 1994.

After the Labor Party's electoral victory, he became prime minister in 1997, the government was confirmed in office in the 2001 elections, but lost the subsequent elections in 2006. King, however, was barely able to retain his parliamentary seat. During his tenure, Saint Lucia recognized the People's Republic of China and broke off relations with Taiwan , which the successor government reversed. After the Labor Party won the elections on November 28, 2011, Anthony replaced Stephenson King as head of government on November 30 .
