Kenneth Cornelius "Kenny" Thomas (born July 25, 1977 in Atlanta , Georgia ) is a retired American basketball player .
NBA
Thomas was selected 22nd by the Houston Rockets in the 1999 NBA Draft . His best year with the Rockets was his third, where he scored 14.1 points, 1.2 steals and 7.2 rebounds per game. During the 2002-03 season he was traded to the Philadelphia 76ers , where he was the starting power forward for the next two years and led the team in rebounds in 2003-04 with 10.1 rebounds. On February 23, Thomas was transferred to Sacramento for Chris Webber as part of a major transfer. He remained a permanent part of the Kings rotation until the 2006-07 season. He played only a few games for the Kings in the last three years before being fired in February 2010.
In the summer of 2010, he was invited to the Memphis Grizzlies training camp , but missed the jump into the roster.
