Kerewan Samba Sira (spelling variants: Kerewan , Kerewan Mandinka , Kerewan Bakary and Kerewan Fula ) is a town in the West African state of Gambia .

According to a calculation for 2013, there are around 2283 inhabitants, the result of the last published census from 1993 was 1597.

geography

Kerewan Samba Sira is located on the southern bank of the Gambia River in the Central River Region , Fulladu West District . The place is located directly on the South Bank Road between Brikama Ba and Taifa Saikou , about 3.9 kilometers southeast of Brikama Ba and 2.5 kilometers northwest of Taifa Saikou.

Culture and sights

According to a listing by the National Center for Arts & Culture , Kerewan was the location of a tattoo . It was the Tato of Foday Kabba .
