Kerstin Schipper

Kerstin Schipper (* 1964 in Pinneberg ) is a German lawyer and presiding judge at the Federal Administrative Court .

Career

After Kerstin Schipper had passed her second state examination in 1992 in Hamburg , she joined the judicial service of the state of Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania in February 1993 as a probationary judge . She worked at the Greifswald Administrative Court from the beginning of 1995 and was appointed judge at the Administrative Court in 1996. In July 1997, she was seconded to the Federal Administrative Court as a research assistant for two years . In October 2000 she was appointed judge at the Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania Higher Administrative Court , but until January 2001 she was seconded to the Greifswald Administrative Court and then to the Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania State Constitutional Court for one year . From August 2006 to February 2008 she worked at the Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania Ministry of Justice and then Vice-President of the Greifswald Administrative Court.

Since August 4, 2008, Kerstin Schipper has been working as a judge at the Federal Administrative Court. At first she belonged to the 7th Revision Senate of the Federal Administrative Court , which was responsible for environmental protection , waste , nuclear and water law and the law of building waterways . On November 13, 2019, she was appointed presiding judge at the Federal Administrative Court and she was made chair of the 4th revision senate. This is u. a. Responsible for building and land law, the right to expand power lines, the right to set up and operate airfields, monument protection law and nature and landscape protection law.
