Kesslers Knigge is a comedy show by and with Michael Kessler . The first broadcast of the first season took place from June to August 2009; no further seasons will be produced.
concept
In every episode Michael Kessler shows different situations in the sense of etiquette and warns of potential faux pas in the form of negative examples in short clips . Each episode is divided into three general areas such as office, vacation or death, which are always introduced by the fact that Kessler steps through the scenario and the topic, unnoticed by the people present, so to speak invisible to them, and knowing about his subsequent wrong behavior and smiling satirically commented on from the off . This, like the intro, is accompanied by an instrumental version of the song Nur ein Wort by the band Wir sind Helden . Now there are several lists that deal with specific situations on the topic, with the main topic of holidays this would be, for example, in a travel agency or on the beach . These are usually titled "10 things you shouldn't do ... [in the given situation] "; isolated variations were also the case.
In ten clips, each only a few seconds short, Kessler now plays various forms of misconduct, which in many cases degenerate into the bizarre absurd .
At the end of each episode there are various scenes that were not shown in the clips previously aired. An instrumental version of Lust for Life by Iggy Pop is used for the background music .

The episodes were shot in just two months in the fall of 2008. In addition to Michael Kessler of the writing was the script , among other Morten Kühne , Markus Barth , Stefan Stuck man and Christoph Berger Trat involved. It was directed by Jan Markus Linhof and Joseph Orr .

While the TV broadcasts on Sat.1 only achieved a quota below the station average, many of the clips developed into hits on the Internet and were among other things. a. also known abroad thanks to a tweet from actor Ashton Kutcher . In mid-October 2013, Studio 71 launched its own YouTube channel for the comedy show Kesslers Knigge under the title of the same name, which currently has more than 340,000 subscribers and over 140 million video views.
