Kevin Lyttle (* 14. September 1976 on the Caribbean island of St. Vincent ) is a Soca - musicians , who mainly through his hit Turn Me On , with whom he in the UK in second place the hit parade and in other European countries in the top 10 became known.

Career

Lyttle founded the group Suade with some of his classmates during high school and had initial success with the song for the graduation party. After Suade broke up shortly after finishing high school, Lyttle enrolled in electrical engineering at college. He then worked as a radio announcer, karaoke singer and MC until he got a permanent job with the customs authorities.

Lyttle produced two songs at its own expense for the 2001 Caribbean Carnival - including a song called Turn Me On . His haunting, hip-hop , rhythm and blues- influenced live performance of Soca music made the piece known throughout the Caribbean.

After these first successes followed a short time later appearances in the USA, where Lyttle was signed to the record label Atlantic Records . Turn Me On continued its success in Europe initially in smaller clubs in the UK; in 2003 the hit was released as a single. After just two weeks, it reached second place on the charts and stayed in the top ten for ten weeks. It later came first in Finland, third in Australia and in the top ten in 12 other European countries, including Germany. In 2004 the single was released in the USA and MTV broadcast the video premiere. He achieved another international success with the follow-up single Last Drop .

The artist's first album was released in 2004 and reached number eight on the US album charts in August of the same year.
