Khao Phing Kan ( Thai : เขา พิง กัน , literally leaning rock ) is an island in Phang-nga Bay in southern Thailand . Khao Phing Kan has become known as the “James Bond Island” and through the Khao Ta-Pu rock needle in front of it .

The island is located in the district ( amphoe ) Takua Thung in the province of Phang-nga . It originally consisted of a large rock, which then broke in two. The smaller part has slipped down, the larger part seems to be leaning on its side.
