The Kieffer Knoll is a rocky hill in the Antarctic Ross Dependency . It marks the northeast end of the Queen Elizabeth Range and rises at the confluence of the Lowery Glacier and the Nimrod Glacier .
The United States Geological Survey mapped it based on its own tellurometer measurements and aerial photographs of the United States Navy from 1960 to 1962. The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names named it in 1966 after Hugh Hartman Kieffer (* 1939), who worked from 1961 to 1962 as part of the United States Antarctic Research Program worked as a glaciologist on Roosevelt Island .
