The Kiehimänjoki is a river in the Finnish countryside of Kainuu .

It forms the drain of the Iijärvi and leaves it at its western end. It flows south for a distance of 16 km and joins the Oulujärvi in Paltamo . The Kiehimänjoki is next to the Kajaaninjoki one of the two main tributaries of the Oulujärvi. It drains an area northeast of the Oulujärvi, which extends to Kuusamo and includes lakes like the Kiantajärvi .
