The Kikko Terrace ( Japanese 亀 甲 が 原 Kikkō-ga-hara , German 'turtle shell level' ) is a 150 m high terrace on the Crown Prince Olav coast of the East Antarctic Queen Maud Land . It is located 2.5 km south-southeast of Cape Hinode .
Aerial photographs and measurements of a Japanese Antarctic expedition carried out from 1957 to 1962 were used to map them. The Japanese name from 1973 was transferred to English by the Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names two years later.
