The Kikxxlarena was a sports arena in Osnabrück - Hellern . It served the GiroLive-Ballers Osnabrück in the 2010/11 season until their bankruptcy as their home ground. The namesake of the Kikxxlarena is KiKxxl GmbH from Osnabrück.
Since the urban castle wall hall , which was used by the GiroLive-Ballers until the 2009/2010 season , did not meet the requirements of Pro A structurally and also offered few parking spaces and no good marketing opportunities, those in charge of the Ballers had to find a new solution. Without financial support from the city of Osnabrück, an operating company could be founded, the Event- und Sportarena OS GmbH. On Averdiekstrasse in the Hellern district of Osnabrück, the warehouse of a beverage wholesaler's warehouse was quickly transformed into a basketball hall with training and play facilities, a VIP area, VIP boxes, a gastro and fan mile and an office with a ticket and fan shop . The entire infrastructure for the club, including parking and access, could be improved in this way. Thanks to the possibility of purchasing parquet, lighting and heating from Phoenix Hagen at low cost, the costs could be kept within reasonable limits.
An expansion of the capacity to the 3,000 spectators required in the BBL has already been taken into account in the planning.
In the course of the insolvency of GiroLive-Ballers Osnabrück in the spring of 2011, insolvency proceedings were opened a little later against Event- und Sportarena OS GmbH. In the course of this process, the grandstands and the parquet were sold, and the hall itself has been used again for business since then.
