Kilholz is a district in the municipality of Thalheim AG in the Fricktal . The Zeiherbach flows through the hamlet and, geographically speaking, is already in the Fricktal.

The Kilholz is a wide valley in the upper area with the hamlet of the same name, which is bordered in the north by the Zeiher Homberg and in the south by the Würz (mountain) . In the lower part the terrain changes into a narrow clus, which then merges into a wide area again at Sulzbann Densbüren . The area of ​​Kilholz is around 1.2 km 2 and about half is forested and the other half is used for agriculture.

Development

Kilholz can be reached via Polenstrasse from Thalheim AG via the "Krützlipass" and from Zeihen via Talstrasse. In addition, a road along the Sissle leads to Effingen train station and the motorway, which can be reached in seven minutes.

Only a dozen people live in the hamlet of Kilholz. In the past, this district had several hamlets, but these disappeared with migration or a fire.
