Kill Zone SPL (original title: 殺 破 狼 , also known as SPL: Sha Po Lang or Saat Po Long ) is a 2005 Hong Kong action film directed by Wilson Yip and written by Wilson Yip, Szeto Kam-Yuen and Ng Wai-lun written. The main roles are played by Donnie Yen , Sammo Hung , Simon Yam and Wu Jing . Carl Chang took over the production .

A collective of police officers who have been trying for a long time in vain to prove that criminal chief Wong Po (Sammo Hung), who is among other things responsible for the death of the parents of the adopted daughter of one of the police officers, has been criminal. Then the police officer Ma Kwun (Donnie Yen) joins the collective, which precedes his reputation as an excellent fighter. With him, the team is now trying to prove Wong Po's crime by, among other things, editing a video of a murder so that Wong Po is portrayed as the perpetrator. You can arrest him after a fight. His followers, however, find whoever filmed the murder and show the original video, with which Wong Po is declared innocent and released. However, since the team continues to investigate the criminal syndicate and has stolen a lot of money in a raid in a drug laboratory, which is to be used for the adopted daughter of the police officer and is therefore not properly handed in, Wong Po lets knife fighter Jack (Wu Jing) two of the police officers kill and seriously injure you and hold you hostage. Ma Kwun is now supposed to bring back the stolen money so that he can be released. On his way to Wong Po, however, he is already expected by Jack, whereupon Ma Kwun with a telescopic baton against Jack, who attacks with a knife, fights and kills him. Then he fights against Wong Po, whom he apparently kills by throwing him at a glass pillar. However, the latter attacks Ma Kwun surprisingly from an ambush, so that he throws him out of the window from a great height. He dies, but ends up in the car of Wong Po's wife, who was sitting there with her child and apparently does not survive the impact. At the end of the film there is only one policeman left of the collective, who originally promised that nothing would happen to any of his colleagues during their deployment.
Others
A lot of work has gone into the fighting scenes in this film, which represent different fighting styles. Especially in the fight between Ma Kwun and Jack, which was filmed in just one night, great importance was attached to a natural fight, so that large parts of it were improvised.
Sequels
In 2015, the sequel to the film, Lethal Warrior or SPL 2, was released, but it hardly makes any direct reference to the plot of the first film and is about new characters. The main roles there take on Tony Jaa , Jin Zhang , Wu Jing and Simon Yam , who is the only one who retains his role from the first part to some extent.
