Kim Bartholomew is an American computer scientist and former archer and biathlete .
Bartholomew grew up as the middle of eight siblings on the northern peninsula of Michigan and has lived in Utah since studying . She studied computer science at Brigham Young University . She is a PhD student at Nova Southeastern University and has taught in the Department for Information Systems and Technology as Associate Professor for Info Systems & Technology at Utah Valley University since 1996 .
At the university she first studied recreational science and also took cross-country skiing, among other things . She married her coach in this sport and initially did not finish her studies because of starting a family. In addition to raising children, she taught at a Montessori preschool for six years.
Bartholomew changed her subject to computer science, which she completed with a master's degree.
Bartholomew is active as an athlete as an archer, especially in archery biathlon. She achieved her greatest success when she won the bronze medal at the first archery biathlon world championships held in Cogne in 1998 alongside Denise Parker and Leslie Howa as the starter of the US relay team behind the representatives from Italy and France.
