Kim Christensen (born May 8, 1980 ) is a former Danish football player on the position of a striker .

Club career

Christensen began his career at the Danish club Lyngby BK . In December 2001 he moved abroad to Hamburger SV for a transfer of 500,000 DKK . He was having a hard time finding his way onto the starting line-up and in the summer of 2003 he moved to Dutch FC Twente . He was used more in Twente.

When his contract in Twente expired in July 2005, he went back to Brøndby IF in Denmark without a transfer fee . After a year at Brøndby, he moved to league rivals Odense BK. In August 2007 he moved to Barnsley FC . There he made his debut against Colchester United . He was a substitute and came on in the 73rd minute. Brian Howard touched one of his shots with his hand, causing a penalty . In subsequent games, he remained a substitute and scored his first goal in the away game against Charlton Athletic , an equalizer in stoppage time that brought the team a point.

On June 23, 2008 he signed a two-year contract with FC Midtjylland . In January 2010 he moved to AB Copenhagen, which is based in the suburb of Gladsaxe. There he finished the 2009/10 season with his teams in fourth place. In January 2011 he joined Hellerup IK . He ended his career there in 2012.

National team

Christensen has played for the Danish U-21 team so far.
