Kim Dong-seon ( Korean 김동선 ; born May 30, 1989 in Seoul , South Korea ) is a South Korean dressage rider .

Kim is the son of Kim Seung-yeon , the chairman of Hanwha .

Kim Dong-seon took part in the Asian Games three times (2006, 2010 and 2014). He won three gold medals with the team in dressage and one silver medal in the individual competition. While in 2006 he still delivered the discarded result with Pleasure 18 , he was successful in the team classification in 2010 with Pleasure 18 and in 2014 with Finally . In 2014 he also won the silver medal in the individual competition behind his compatriot Hwang Young-shik.

At the World Equestrian Games in Normandy in 2014 , he reached 66th place in the individual dressage competition with his horse Bukowski . He qualified for the 2014 World Cup final in Lyon , France , where he reached 17th place in the individual ranking on Bukowski .

Two years later, Kim and Bukowski finished 43rd at the Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro . In the summer of 2018, Kim Dong-seon acquired the Ludwig Stud in Wegberg .

In 2017, Kim caused quarrels while drunk.
