Kim Lim-hwan (born May 6, 1992 ) is a South Korean judoka . In 2019 he was second in the world championship in the semi-light weight category, the weight class up to 66 kilograms.

Athletic career

Kim took third place in the 2014 Grand Slam in Baku . In 2016 he won the Samsun Grand Prix. At the 2017 World Championships in Budapest he was defeated by the Russian Mikhail Puljajew in the quarter-finals and finished in fifth place.

In 2019 Kim reached the final at the Grand Slam in Düsseldorf and finished second behind the Japanese Joshiro Maruyama . In May 2019 he won the Grand Prix in Hohhot. At the 2019 World Championships in Tokyo , he defeated the Ukrainian Bohdan Iadow in the quarter-finals and Denis Vieru from Moldova in the semifinals . In the final, as in Düsseldorf, he met Joshiro Maruyama and received the silver medal.
