Kimbo SpA is an Italian coffee processing company founded in 1950, based in Melito di Napoli . It appears on the market with the two brands Kimbo and Kosé . It became known under the former brand name Café do Brasil until 1963. In Italy, Kimbo has been number two in the sale of roasted coffee beans for private consumption since 1994 after Lavazza .

The family business, now in its second generation, was founded in 1950 from a small coffee roastery founded by the three brothers Francesco, Gerardo and Elio Rubino. Her interest in coffee stemmed from her father 's cafe and pastry shop in Naples . The coffee roasted by the Rubino brothers first spread to the Naples area and later throughout Campania , where the roasting company became the market leader within 15 years. The company, like the entire coffee industry, experienced a surge in growth in the 1960s thanks to the introduction and spread of vacuum packaging . Kimbo has always bought its coffee directly from producers in Central and South America as well as India and Africa.
