Children's future

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Kinderzukunft Foundation is a German foundation under civil law and has been providing aid to children in need as a children's aid organization since 1988. This emerged from the former Rudolf Walther Foundation of the founder of Möbel Walther in Gründau. The seat is Gründau .

Fields of activity

The foundation helps street children and orphans with various nutrition and educational projects as well as their own children's villages , schools and training institutions in Central America and Eastern Europe .

The foundation maintains its own children's villages, schools and training workshops in Guatemala , Bosnia-Herzegovina and Romania . In addition to care in the children's villages, the children and adolescents receive schooling and then vocational training. The aim is to give them support for an independent and livable future, in order to prevent lifelong dependence on emergency aid.

Since 1998 the foundation has been organizing the nationwide campaign “Christmas parcels for children in need” . Every year thousands of kindergartens, schools, companies and private individuals take part in the campaign. Around 30,000 parcels are collected and, with the help of hundreds of volunteers, are brought in convoys to children in need in the slums of Bosnia and Romania .

organization

The work is financed through donations. There is the possibility of sponsoring children in the children's villages. Since the administrative costs are covered by income from the foundation's assets and earmarked donations, the donations go directly to the children without any deductions. The children's future bears the donation seal of the German Central Institute for Social Issues .
