King Jammy

King Jammy , real name Lloyd James (* 1947 in Montego Bay ), formerly Prince Jammy , is a Jamaican music producer . At the beginning of his career he dub with King Tubby . Since the mid-1980s he was one of the most influential dancehall - producers . Together with Bobby Digital he was one of the first to use digital rhythms in reggae.

Artists produced by King Jammy include Wayne Smith , Shabba Ranks , Cocoa Tea , Horace Andy , Black Uhuru , Cutty Ranks, and Eek-A-Mouse , among others .
