The King Peak is a 2200  m high and rocky mountain peak in the west Antarctic Marie-Byrd-Land . It towers over the eastern foothills of the Bermel Escarpment about 2.5 km west-northwest of Mount Powell in the eastern section of the Thiel Mountains .

Peter Bermel and Arthur B. Ford , who together led an expedition of the United States Geological Survey from 1960 to 1961 in the Thiel Mountains, named him after Clarence King (1842-1901), first director of the survey from 1879 to 1881.
