Kingdom of Desire is a studio album by the band Toto , which was released in 1992. Drummer Jeff Porcaro died shortly after the album was completed. Jeff was replaced by British Simon Phillips , who stayed with Toto until early 2014. Guitarist Steve Lukather took over the vocals as the previous singer, Jean-Michel Byron, was sacked after the "past-to-present" tour. The album was mixed by Bob Clearmountain .
