Bob Clearmountain (born January 16, 1953 in Connecticut ) is an award-winning American sound engineer, mixer and producer. He has worked with many well-known musicians such as Bruce Springsteen , The Rolling Stones , Bryan Adams , Hall & Oates , Robbie Williams , Toto and Bon Jovi .

He was nominated for four Grammys and won a 2007 Latin Grammy Award for his work on Ricky Martin's "MTV Unplugged" album. He was also nominated for an Emmy .

Clearmountain played bass on The Dead Boys' first album Young Loud and Snotty before being replaced by Jeff Magnum .
