Kingsley Obiekwu (born November 12, 1974 in Igbuzo , Delta ) is a retired Nigerian football player who played on the position of defender. He participated in the 1996 Olympic Games in Atlanta .

Stations as a club player

The trained defender began his career in Nigeria with Udoji United before moving to the Netherlands . At Go Ahead Eagles Deventer he played for four years. In the first year he played four games in the Eredivisie and was relegated with the club. In the second division, he came to 59 missions and seven goals. In 1998 he left the Netherlands and played in Dubai for al-Ahli . He then returned to Nigeria and played for Enugu Rangers . During this time with Enugu he went to Egypt to al-Masry before finally ending his career with Enugu.

National team

At the 1996 Olympic Games in Atlanta, he was in the team of the Nigerian Olympic team . But he was not used. He was then from 1996 to 1999 in the squad of the Nigerian national team and had five missions.

Coaching career

After his playing career, he was coach of Ingas FC (Enugu) and USS Kraké .
