Kingston Wall

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Kingston Wall was a psychedelic / progressive rock trio from Finland .

history

In 1987 the band was founded in Helsinki by the three members Petri Walli ( vocals , guitar ), Jukka Jylli ( bass ) and Sami Kuoppamäki ( drums ) . Walli composed most of the songs and wrote all of the lyrics. The front man had a great influence on the music from artists such as Pink Floyd , Led Zeppelin and Jimi Hendrix . Walli also took on the role of producer and manager of the band and ran the in-house music label Trinity .

Until Wallis Suizid in June 1995, the band released three albums : I (1992), II (1993) and III - Tri-Logy (1994). In 2005 a live album entitled Real Live Thing was published, which includes concert recordings selected by Jylli. The three studio albums were released on the Trinity label and later re-released as a remaster by the Zen Garden label (later part of Sony BMG ) .
