Kinna IF is a Swedish football club from Kinna . The club played several seasons in Sweden's second division.
history
The Kinna IF football team first appeared nationwide in 1934 when they were promoted to third division. Four years later, the club won Division 3 Västsvenska Norra with seven points ahead of Trollhättans IF , but Varberg's BoIS prevailed in the promotion round . As a result, the team established itself in the front division, with the renewed season win in 1940, the club failed at Lundby IF . Initially in the following years still in the promotion race, she slipped in the following seasons and missed relegation in 1946.
After rising again in 1953, Kinna IF managed to march straight through to the second division. There the team established itself in the back of the table and reached in the season 1957/58 as table sixth the best result in the club's history to date. As eleventh in the table, the team missed relegation the following year and rose together with Varbergs BoIS and IS Halmia in the third division. After two years in the middle division, she returned to the second division with two points ahead of Jonsereds IF .
With only three wins this season, Kinna IF was relegated straight away. Again, the club initially occupied only one place in the middle of the third division. In 1965 behind Alingsås IF and a year later behind Göteborgs AIK , the club narrowly missed promotion as second in the table. After a sixth place succeeded in 1968 the season victory, the stay in the second division lasted again only one season. In the following years, the club slipped, the second half of the 1970s, the team entered the fourth division.
1986 Kinna IF was victim of a league reform and came back under in the fourth division. Here the team played in the middle division, before being relegated to fifth division in 1992. After two years she was able to rise again and in the following years she held on to promotion. After an eighth place in the table in 1999, she was relegated again in the following season. After the immediate resurgence, the return to the third division followed two years later. There the club occupied the last non-relegation place in the 2004 season, before it was again victim of a league reform in the following season. In the following years she stayed in the fourth division.
