Kiratpur (also Basi Kiratpur ) is a city in the Indian state of Uttar Pradesh .

Kiratpur is located in the north Indian plain 120 km northeast of the federal capital New Delhi in the district of Bijnor . The Malini , a small left tributary of the Ganges , flows west of the city in a southerly direction. The Ganges flows south 14 km west of the city.

The national highway NH 119 and a railway line connect Kiratpur with the district capital Bijnor, 15 km to the south, and with the city of Najibabad, 18 km to the northeast .

As a city, Kiratpur has the status of Nagar Palika Parishad . The city is divided into 25 wards . At the 2011 census, Kiratpur had 61,186 inhabitants.
