Grapzow Church

The Grapzow Church is a church building in Grapzow in the Mecklenburg Lake District . It belongs to the Siedenbollentin parish in the Demmin provost of the Pomeranian parish.

history

The Grapzow Church was originally a branch church of the Kessiner Church . In the middle of the 18th century, at the instigation of the von Walsleben family, the pastor moved from Kessin to Grapzow, where a new parsonage had been built for him. As a result, the Kessiner church became the daughter of the Grapzow church.

Architecture and interior design

The church is a rectangular brick building with a three-sided east end and a western stepped gable from the second half of the 19th century.

The simple furnishings date from the time it was built in the late 19th century. The organ was built in 1870 by Barnim Grüneberg as Opus 121.

In the cemetery there is a free-standing wooden belfry with two bells. The smaller bell is dated 1491.
