Siedenbollentin Church
The Siedenbollentin Church is a late Gothic church building in Siedenbollentin in the Mecklenburg Lake District .
history
The late Gothic building was built from field stone around 1400. A wooden tower was added around 1476. In 1874 the church was rebuilt. On July 4, 1928, the church tower was destroyed by a lightning strike, and on July 17, 1929 the topping-out ceremony for the new church tower was celebrated. In 2009 the church was plastered and the interior was extensively renovated.
Architecture and interior design
The tile-roofed nave is rectangular. Brick was walled up on the east gable . The acute-angled panels between the pillars are closed. The church tower in the west is boarded up and has a tall octagonal helmet.
Inside the church has a flat ceiling. The pulpit was donated by King Frederick the Great ( F [ridericus] R [ex] ) in 1748 and built into a pulpit altar in 1874. The stalls are also from 1748. A wooden octagonal baptism with a brass bowl was donated in 1625, according to the engraving. The organ was built in 1874 by Barnim Grüneberg from Stettin as his Opus 153.
The bells were newly acquired in 2011.
Structures
The Protestant parish of Siedenbollentin has been part of the Demmin provost in the Pomeranian Evangelical Church District of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Northern Germany since 2012 . Before that she belonged to the Demmin parish of the Pomeranian Evangelical Church . In addition to the Siedenbollentiner Church , the parish also includes the churches in Grapzow , Grischow , Kessin , Kölln , Wodard and Werder .
Churchyard
The churchyard is used as a cemetery and has a mourning hall.
