Wodarg Church

The Wodarg Church is a church building in the Wodarg district of the Werder municipality in the Mecklenburg Lake District . It belongs to the parish of Siedenbollentin in the Demmin provost of the Pomeranian Evangelical Church District and was formerly a branch church of the church in Werder.

The church is a rectangular plastered brick building with individual field stones . The rectangular front west tower is made entirely of brick. The arched windows framed with brick have lead glazing. The church was largely rebuilt in the neo-Romanesque style in the second half of the 19th century . In places where the plaster has peeled off, remains of the arches of earlier wall openings can still be seen. On the east gable is a relief of the coat of arms of the von Walsleben family , who owned the Wodarg estate until 1762.

The pulpit and altarpiece with barriers date from the middle of the 18th century.

The bell was cast by Gottlieb Becker in Stettin in 1801 .
