The Sanzkow Church is a church building in the Sanzkow district of the Siedenbrünzow municipality in the Mecklenburg Lake District .

The medieval hall church was changed several times. The eastern straight end was built around 1300 from neatly layered field stone masonry . A north sacristy built at the same time was later demolished. The east gable is structured with brick by a staggered round arched three-window group, above a tooth-cut frieze and in the gable triangle pointed arches.

The western part of the building is younger. The roof tower with half-timbered walls and pyramid roof probably dates from the 18th century. In the 19th century the west facade was built and the arched windows in brick were installed. The north extension , which is now used as a winter church , dates from this time .

The flat-roofed interior of the church has neo-Gothic wooden furnishings from the 19th century. This includes an eight-sided pulpit, patronage stalls , west gallery and cladding of the west wall. Some of these are decorated with simple tracery forms . A baptismal stand has rich carvings. The chalice-shaped baptismal font made of limestone dates from the 13th century. It has a sturdy round base and a grille made of flat-arched panels.

In the church there is a wooden epitaph from 1668 with Corinthian columns, blown gable and the coat of arms of the von Podewils family . An originating from the 15th century Francis - altarpiece is now in the Cultural History Museum Stralsund . The bell was cast by F. Scheunemann in Demmin in 1840 .
