Tützpatz Church

The Tützpatz Church is a church building in the municipality of Tützpatz in the Mecklenburg Lake District . It belongs to the parish Altenhagen-giltz in the provost's office Demmin of the Pomeranian Evangelical Church District .

The late Gothic church, made of field and brick , dates from the 15th century and is now plastered. The nave is two- bayed with an approximately square floor plan. The polygonal closed choir has a star vault . The two-storey extension on the north side of the ship is a little younger. The western half-timbered roof tower was built in the 18th century.

The church stalls and the west gallery date from the 18th century, the pulpit altar with cabinets from the second half of the 18th century. The crucifix and two carved figures depicting Peter and John are probably from the 16th century . In the church there are epitaphs for AA vom Maltzahn († 1692) and AH von Maltzahn († 1742).

The two-manual organ with eight sounding stops was made in the workshop of Barnim Grüneberg in Stettin in 1897 .

Until 1917 the ringing consisted of three bells. The oldest had an illegible, probably medieval inscription. The second was dated 1552. The youngest was cast in 1612 by Albrecht Huve in Stralsund . In 1888 the bells were cast at the Stettin bell foundry Voss and Son.
