The Church of St. Elias ( Romanian Biserica ortodoxă Sfântul Ilie ) is a Romanian Orthodox church and a listed historical building in Strada Andrei Șaguna in the 2nd district of Fabric ( German  factory town ) of the western Romanian city ​​of Timișoara ( German  Timişoara ).

Church of Saint Elias, Fabric

The church was built between 1911 and 1912 and is dedicated to Saint Elias . The construction plans were drawn up by the architect Ion Niga , and the builder was Iosif Ecker junior . The paintings inside are by the Banat painter Ioan Zaicu .

The church is similar in shape and concept to the Romanian Orthodox Trinity Cathedral in Sibiu , which was built between 1902 and 1906.
