Algutsrum Church

The Church of Algutsrum is the church in the village of Algutsrum on the Swedish island of Öland in the Baltic Sea .

The church goes back to a previous building from the 12th century. In 1822 the choir , nave and sacristy of the medieval church were demolished and replaced by a new hall church . The west tower and a small part of the original ship were preserved, but the external appearance of the tower was also largely changed.

To the east of the church is the historic Algutsrum market .
