The Kirchstein is a prominent pre-summit of the Rotwand, located on the ridge that the Rotwand sends out to the west to the Klammstein. The connecting path between Rotwandhaus and Taubenstein runs over the saddle between the two peaks, the Kirschsteinsattel . The Kirchstein can be climbed in easy climbing (UIAA I-IV).
