Kirchstrasse (Thomm)

The Church Street is a city road in Thomm in the district of Trier-Saarburg , Rhineland-Palatinate . It leads from the center of the village to Unterdorf and is one of the oldest streets in the Hunsrück town of Thomm.

Adjacent streets are Trierer Straße and Kapellenstraße , which are part of Kreisstraße 82 . Cross streets are Feldstrasse, the Fahrweg, Richtgasse and Feller Strasse. In an easterly direction, Kirchstrasse merges into Mühlweg, which led to the former Thommer Mühle on Thommerbach .

During the Second World War , Kirchstrasse in Thomm was almost completely destroyed by the Americans.

Is located on Church Street, the old Thommer Church , in the monument list of Rhineland-Palatinate , and if so of which only the bell tower and a wall layout and the old cemetery. A boules pitch has recently been built there. Next to it is the new village square with a fountain and bus stop.

The Gasthaus Zur Post with its Viezkelterei and distillery is located in Kirchstrasse . The buildings in Kirchstrasse are mostly Trier houses or Trier rows .

The Schiefer-Wackenweg crosses the western part of Kirchstrasse.
