The Torah shrine of the central synagogue in Kirjat Shmuel originally comes from the synagogue (Reggio nell'Emilia) in Italy.

Kirjat Shmuel ( Hebrew קִרְיַית שְׁמוּאֵל, translit. : Qiryat Šmū'el, in German Samuel's city ) is a small Israeli town in the middle of the Krajot metropolitan area , near Haifa . Kirjat Shmu'el was founded in 1933. Although Kirjat Shmuel does not directly border Haifa, the once independent community has belonged to the city of Haifa since 1952. Kirjat Shmuel stands out from the rest of the industrial Krajot insofar as almost all of its approximately 6,000 residents are religious or national- religious. Due to the predominantly religious population, the entrance roads are closed on the Sabbath . The Kirjat Motzkin station of Israel Railways is directly adjacent to Kirjat Shmuel.
