Kirsten Myklevoll

Kirsten Emilie Myklevoll (born September 25, 1928 in Tromsø ; † December 11, 1996 ) was a Norwegian politician of the Arbeiderpartiet (Ap).

Life

From 1947 to 1951 she attended the teachers' school in Tromsø. She then worked as a teacher at schools in Vardø , Honningsvåg , Astafjord and Skånland . In Skånland, she was a member of the local parliament between 1963 and 1967.

Myklevoll represented the province of Troms in the Norwegian parliament, the Storting , from 1973 to 1981 . Between 1973 and 1978 she was a member of the Ap. From October 1977 to January 1978 she also chaired the Committee on Local Authorities and Environmental Protection.

On January 11, 1978, she was appointed consumer and administration minister in the Nordli government. She held the office until October 8, 1979. She then returned to Storting as a member of parliament.

In 1983 she moved into the Fylkesting of Troms. There she served from 1983 to 1987 as deputy Fylkesordførerin , before she was able to take over the office of Fylkesordførerin until 1992.
