Kirsty Gunn

Kirsty Gunn (born in New Zealand in 1960 ) is a New Zealand-British writer.

Life

Kirsty Gunn attended Queen Margaret College in Wellington . She studied at Victoria University of Wellington and earned a Magister Phil from Oxford University . After graduating, she moved to London and has since worked as a freelance journalist in Great Britain.

Your novel Rain was filmed in 2001 by Christine Jeffs under the title Rain - Regentage . The novel The Boy and the Sea received the 2007 Book of the Year Award from the Scottish Arts Council . In 2007 she published 44 Things, a reflection on her time as the full-time mother of her daughters. The novel The Big Music won a New Zealand Post Book Award in New Zealand in 2013 . The short story collection Infidelities (“Untreuen”, 2014) is about women who are unfaithful and is divided into Going Out , Staying Out and Never Coming Home .

Gunn teaches writing at the University of Dundee .
