Alexa Hennig von Lange (born March 22, 1973 in Hanover ) is a German writer and presenter .

Life

Alexa Hennig von Lange is the daughter of an architect couple. She grew up in the Hanover region and attended Georg-Büchner-Gymnasium in Letter . At the age of 13 she won the NDR competition “ Children write for children ” with her short story “Esabeth ”.

In 1994 she began her career as an assistant editor in the premiere production Dasreal Leben . She also modeled for Benetton . From 1995 she hosted the children's program Bim Bam Bino on Kabel 1. In 1997, she started working as a writer on the entertainment series Gute Zeiten, Bad Zeiten . But after only nine months she finished working there because she began to use the “GZSZ jargon” in private. In the same year, Relax was published , with which she founded pop literature in Germany alongside Christian Kracht and Benjamin von Stuckrad-Barre . Her debut novel, which is about growing up, sexuality and drug use, immediately made her one of the most successful authors of her generation.

She has written several plays, including for the Volksbühne Berlin and the Schauspielhaus Hannover (a venue of the Lower Saxony State Theater ). In 1998 her piece Flashback , written with Stefan Pucher , was premiered in Berlin .

In 1999 her novel Ich bin’s was published . 2000 May became 3D. A diary novel published together with Daniel Haaksmann and Till Müller-Klug . In 2001 I just have luck followed , in 2002 Lelle . In the same year, Hennig von Lange received the “ German Youth Literature Prize ” for I'm just lucky .

At the end of 2003, Where I Come From was published . With this novel, Hennig von Lange finds his way back to her literary roots. 2005 appeared in Why so sad? , again from the perspective of the Lelle figure, who has now matured into Elisabeth, followed in 2006 by Mira, deeply in love . In 2007 the novel Risk was published , with which the writer shows for the first time a sense of thriller-like tension.

In September 2008 Alexa Hennig von Lange started a new series of books for young people in the publishing house cbj, which belongs to the "Random House" publishing group; people made the start , I feel easy . Lelle, the main figure in Hennig von Lange's works, is back and tells new stories from her life. The other volumes are to be published every six months. In March 2009, the volume 44 Moments: Notes of a Determined Mother by Kirsty Gunn was first translated into German by Alexa Hennig von Lange. Hennig von Lange also wrote the epilogue of the German edition of Gunn's autobiographical text collage, which provides information about her decision to devote a year to her daughters instead of her writing career.

Alexa Hennig von Lange has five children from three men. In 2015 she moved to Brandenburg with her current husband, the reporter Marcus Jauer . Since 2017 she has been living with her family again in Berlin, where she had lived from 1993 to 2015.
