Kjell Knarvik (born May 29, 1927 in Mysen , Eidsberg ) is a former Norwegian ski jumper .

Career

Knarvik, who started for the Mysen IF club , jumped to seventh place on the normal hill at the Norwegian Championships in Narvik in 1951 . On January 7, 1951, he finished second behind Josef Bradl on the Bergiselschanze in Innsbruck . The following year at the Norwegian Championships in 1952 in Porsgrunn he reached 12th place. In the Nordic World Ski Championships 1954 in Sweden's Falun Knarvik launched in individual competition. He narrowly missed a medal and finished fourth. In December he started at the Four Hills Tournament 1954/55 . In the opening competition on the Schattenbergschanze in Oberstdorf , he ended up just behind the podium in fourth place. He was also able to achieve a very good result with fifth place on the Great Olympic Hill in Garmisch-Partenkirchen . After a disappointing 24th place for Knarvik on Bergiselschanze in Innsbruck, he finished the tour with ninth place on Paul-Ausserleitner-Schanze in Bischofshofen . In the overall tour standings, Knarvik finally finished fifth.
