KlEPINO (German Klempin ) is a village in the municipality of Stargard in Pomerania Province Western Pomerania .

Geographical location

Klępino is located in Western Pomerania on the Ihna River , about four kilometers north of the city of Stargard ( Stargard in Pomerania ) and 31 kilometers east of the city of Szczecin .

In older times, Klempin was owned by the town of Stargard , and several farmers had to pay taxes to its facilities. Around 1780 there was a fiefdom school in the church village of Klempin, a preacher, a sexton, twenty full farmers , three half-farmers , one of whom ran the local inn, five kossaten , a preacher's widow's house, a Büdner who lived on the parish grounds, and below Including the granaries and shepherds' houses, a total of 56 fireplaces.

Around 1925 the district of Klempin had an area of ​​8.4 km², and there were 92 residential buildings in the municipality where Klempin was the only place to live. In 1925 there were 515 inhabitants in Klempin, who were distributed over 127 households.

Until 1945, Klempin belonged to the Saatzig district in the Pomeranian province .

Towards the end of the Second World War , Klempin was occupied by the Soviet Army in early March 1945 . After the end of the war, the village was placed under Polish administration. Klempin was renamed Klępino . The German population was expelled in the period that followed .

The majority of the population present in Klempin until 1945 belonged to the Protestant denomination. In 1925 there were four residents in Klempin who belonged to the Catholic creed and nine residents without any denomination information.
