Location of Klafferstraß in Bavaria

Klafferstraß is a district of the municipality of Neureichenau in the Lower Bavarian district of Freyung-Grafenau . Until 1971 it formed an independent municipality .

location

Klafferstraß is located in the Bavarian Forest about five kilometers southeast of Neureichenau near the border with Austria .

history

The place belonged to the bishopric of Passau until 1803 and, after brief membership of the Electorate of Salzburg, then came to the Wegscheid district court established in 1806 and thus to Bavaria. With the formation of the municipalities in 1818 due to the second Bavarian municipality edict of 17 May 1818, the community was formed Klafferstraß. With the separation of justice and administration in 1862, the community came to the Wolfstein district office and to the Waldkirchen district court, which was established in the same year . On April 1, 1971, the community gave up its independence and decided to integrate into the community of Neureichenau.
